The Department of Civil Engineering was established in Year 2010. Currently The Department houses developed labs for Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, BMC and Concrete Technology, Engineering Geology and Surveying. The department can offer consultancy services in the above mentioned labs. In year 2011, the department conducted a one day seminar on ‘Wonders of concrete’ in association with Ambuja cement. The department also conducted a one day seminar for practicing engineers and industry professionals in association with Ambuja cement.
The Department of Civil Engineering is headed by Dr. Geetha K. Jayaraj, Professor. She is Ph. D with specialization in Water Resources Engg from IIT Bombay, M.Tech (Water Resources Engg) from IIT Bombay. She has over 22 years of teaching Experience under University of Mumbai and 05 yrs of Industry experience.
She had worked as Principal in MGM College of Engg & Technology, Kamothe, Dean Academics & Professor in Civil Engg in MGMCET, Kamothe, Navi mumbai. She has also worked as faculty of Civil Engg Department at M.H.Saboo Siddik College of Engg, Byculla, Mumbai. She has also published few International Journal Papers.
